As an experienced risk management expert, business consultant, a licensed insurance broker, a licensed public adjuster, an expert witness, and now a Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed Mediator, John has a long history of helping business owners and individuals navigate the complex insurance and legal issues of both business and life.
John’s expert advice has led some of our former clients to refer to him as the equalizer because he brings an uncommon framework of knowledge to every situation in helping clients achieve the best possible outcome.
John’s background in psychology and military service gives him the benefit of perspective and problem-solving unique in today’s workforce, as he seeks to fight to ensure everyone is treated fairly by a system typically more concerned with profits than people.
John was recently named to the 2024 Class of Marquis Who’s Who in America.
Drawn to serve his fellow citizens, Douglas has joined John Ballinger in the fight to ensure clients are treated fairly regarding the complex issues of business and life.
Douglas is a licensed public adjuster, as well as a life and health insurance agent. He recently completed the associate in captive insurance (ACI), which allows him to help business owners escape the trap of traditional insurance and create their own insurance coverage.
Shocked by the way insurance companies treated victims of storm damage after the April 2020 tornadoes that impacted the Chattanooga community, Douglas was compelled to get his public adjuster license so that he could assist in the effort to make sure policyholders, not shareholders, were protected both in the immediate aftermath of the storms and going forward.
